What's on your craft table today

So, I’ve been playing with my 3D printer today. It’s almost Summer here in Australia so that means bbq’s and beach parties, which also means mosquitos.
So, I thought let’s smoke them out in style with a Pokémon Koffing mozzie coil holder. Need to sand it, prime and paint. Then it will be ready to go.

This project got me thinking. Who else has a 3D printer in the community?

I’ve been wanting a 3D printer I feel like it got so popular for a time and now I don’t hear much about it. This is a really cool 3D print though so resourceful and so creative!

Oh really. I have 3D print videos all over my YouTube feed still. I actually want to buy a new multi print 3D printer so I can easily print with more than one color. The current one I have I need to swap out the color manually, it’s doable but also annoying. The reason I got it though was to print big, it has a huge print size. So, looking at something smaller that can multi print next. I have a resin 3D printer too, for all my figurines.

I think I’ve stopped seeing because I haven’t searched for it in a while, my brother had one and was making really cool things with it but he didn’t really have a passion for it so he stopped making things. That was a couple years ago though when I remember it being super popular at least in my feed. Hope I get to see more of your 3D creations soon :sparkling_heart:

I have a Prusa mini+

That’s very cool  I don’t have a 3d printer but I think it’s so cool just maybe expensive and needs lots of expense to create projects with.

Amazing job @BellethehowtoGuru! I have been toying with doing some Pokémon inspired shadow boxes for the Christmas Market that I thought that would make great gifts and be very popular. This kind of seals the deal for me. Also this has reinvigorated my desire to want/need a 3D printer. LOL! I appreciate you giving me another “reason” to use on my husband for when it “just shows up” on the front doorstep.

Hahahaha, glad I could help. Totally let me know when you get one and what you get. I think 3D printers are so fun. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
I do need to say please be careful selling licensed things, I have seen people get in serious trouble for it in the past. Would hate for anything like that to happen to anyone in our community.

Oh they are great hard working machines

It’s not to expensive, you just need to buy the filament, and one roll goes really far.

Completely agree. I am 100% cautious about selling licensed items because I don’t need no fight with a mouse or a pocket monster. LOL! I tend to stick to silhouettes of licensed items without any distinguishing characteristics. That can be challenging to find but I have found a few options that lend to the idea without directly copying it.

I will definitely keep you updated with the 3D printer I end up on. Who do you like from the 3D world from a machine side?

That is brilliantly Aussie and absolutely genius! A Koffing mozzie coil holder? :fire::dash: Talk about smoking out the bugs with style and a wink to nostalgia. Can’t wait to see it once it’s sanded, primed, and painted—please share pics when it’s done! Your 3D printer’s getting a proper summer workout.

Yes i am pretty happy about it
What printer do you have?

Any of the big brands are all pretty good now. 3D printers have come along way in the last 5 years. Bambu, Creality, Phozen, Anycubic, prusa are all great brands. But my top pick would be Bambu, the machines are so easy to use, customer support is great. Great pick for a beginner.

I have a Phrozen Resin 3Dprinter and a Anycubic Kobra 2 Max. Got it for the really large print area so I can make cosplays. I’m getting a Bambu H2D Pro because it has dual nozzle

Oh thank you @rinsky, I’m glad you liked my print. The bottom had some layering problems but nothing a good sand and fill couldn’t fix
