I love making greeting cards. When I first started making greeting cards, I didn’t know there was specific sizes. So, I made heaps of whacky and wonderful sized cards. Now that I have learnt a bit more about card making, I have a go to size which is C or 5inch x 7inch card. I like this because it has enough space to really get some detail in your cards but it’s not huge and cumbersome. Also, you can make card bases for it on an A4 size sheet of paper. It’s one of my favorite things to craft at the moment.
Do you want to learn more about card sizes, check out my guide that I made because I couldn’t find cm measurements anywhere. Card Measurement Cheat Guide
So, my question is, what’s your go to greeting card size?
I lke regular 176 x 120 mm cards to fit regular comercial European envelopes… at least that is a start I can modify to meet any need. But it is also very fun getting out of that constrain and making any kind of proportions.
Thank you for the cheat guide link, it is so cool and generous!
my go to greeting size is 5x7 but now that I see your question I realize the possibilities are much more than I even thought of. i could make big cards and small cards and didn’t really think of any other possibility other than a 5x7 so now im going to have to think of an occasion to make different sizes
