I am a brand new user with the iEngrave. Yesterday I was able to connect everything and create my first engraved image. This morning I planed on doing another project and I do not see the machine come up on my WiFi list to connect it to the iPad Loklik app. Everything on the machine is turned on, the power button, the key in the proper position, and the emergency button is out. The router password is correct and we have also reset it to see if that was an issue. Also because I was able to use it yesterday, we are not running on 5G.
When hubby got home last night he did some work with the router to get two separate channels. Even after putting the machine and my iPad on the 2.4 channel it still isn’t working. Hubby thinks there might be an issue with the WiFi module on the machine so I’m going to pen an email to support and see what they think.
So after a very frustrating night of not seeing the iEngrave on the WiFi list, this morning we decided to hook it up to hubbies laptop with the USB cable. Things went great until the design hit 35%, then it just stopped! Looking at the laptop it said the process was “interrupted”. We were not messing with the machine, the table it was sitting on, the laptop had not gone to sleep nor had it even started going to sleep. I did restart the design to see if it would keep going, but again, it hit 35% and stopped.
So I have absolutely no idea what’s going on. I sent an email to support with everything that we did and I also had hubby double check it to make sure I didn’t forget anything. Now I’m eagerly awaiting some sort of reply hopefully the beginning of the week.
I haven’t had it for long but already have a ton of ideas that I want to make, and now I’m sad.
Oh no, it’s always such a letdown when your machine isn’t behaving! Jot those creative sparks down so they’re ready to roll when everything’s back up and running—you’ll be unstoppable. I’m really glad you reached out to support, and fingers crossed you get a speedy reply. Keep us posted on how things go—your experience might just be the key to helping someone else out too
So if I forget to turn sleep mowed off on my iPad and don’t look at it while doing a project it going into sleep mode can stop it maybe that happens with laptop?
That was one of my questions when it stopped today because I remember reading that, but nope, this time the laptop wasn’t unused long enough to go into sleep mode. I didn’t have to move the mouse to wake it up to see what the screen said or even to brighten the screen as if it was starting to go to sleep.
I did, but it wasn’t as helpful as I had hoped. They did mention the typical make sure everything is attached correctly and updated app and such. They also wanted me to check the motherboard to ensure the antenna cable was connected, and it was. As for the interrupted engraving session, they wanted software logs (?) or a video showing what happened. I did send them a short 3 min video of the machine starting, and then 3 minutes later stopping at 35% of the project.
So I’m now in limbo again waiting for another reply. Fingers crossed!!
