3d Box - which paper is required?

Hello people,

I was wondering what type/kind of paper you need or can all use to make a functional 3D box (from the loklik library).

I had already found Scrapbook/design paper because I couldn’t find it anywhere what type of matriaal is needed for this and don’t want to risk getting things for nothing I wanted to ask anyway.

Usually thicker paper like cards stock, calling card paper, etc

Yes, card stock is better, I normally tend to go with a cardstock that doesn’t have a white core in it. As these tend to cut a bit messy. I normally use anything over 300 GSM paper weight for boxes.

Anything between 150 and 300 g, depending on how rigid you want it. Lighter won’t be sturdy, and thicker will require some adjustments in the design to account for the material’s thickness, i mean folding allowance, thickness compensation.

If it is a small box or holding a very light item, I uses 65lb cardstock. For larger 3D boxes and for sturdiness I use at least 80lb cardstock.

Welcome @salazar_mari . How is your cutter cutting badly. What’s it doing, what have you done to try and fix it?
