Carpet and ordinary printer paper

Hi ! I want to know :
First : How to maintain the carpet when there are still some small residues on it?
Second :
When you say “ordinary printer paper,” what is the minimum weight? Indeed: 80g is light! The piece of paper tears!
Thanks for your come back

You can wash your mat with some dish soap but only scrub lightly. Once it dries, if its still too sticky, you can pat it on your clothes to lessen tackiness

Yeah I agree @timmytation , you can clean your cutting mats with a bit of dish soap and warm water. I normally just lightly rub with my hand and then let them air dry.

Regarding ordinary printer paper, that is normally 80gsm in weight. What project are you doing with ordinary printer paper? You might find that you need to put the speed down to cut it better. You can clean your blade by taking it out of the machine, keeping it in the blade housing and pushing the blade in and out of an aluminum foil ball. This doesn’t sharpen the blade it just cleans it.

For maintaining your carpet, try using a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment or a lint roller to remove small residues. You can also occasionally use a carpet cleaner for deeper maintenance.

Regarding printer paper, “ordinary” usually refers to a weight of 70-80gsm. If 80gsm tears easily for your needs, consider trying a slightly heavier paper, like 90gsm or 100gsm, which should provide more durability without being too thick for most printers.
