Cutting Mat Sizes - different widths!

I was using a silhouette cameo 4 and have just changed to the Icraft.

As well as the supplied LOKLIK mat I had several that I had ordered.
I have a HTVRONT mat that came with a Vinyl bundle.
A pack of 5 Light grip mats (FOME) ordered when I found medium wasn’t good for card stock.
I also order a set of 3 unbranded mats Light, Medium and Strong grip.

My machine has arrived and I have realised the original Silhouette mat and the set of three are not as wide as the others.
From the photos you can see the Silhouette and unbranded mats are not as wide as the LokLik / HTVRONT mats.

They are 1/4 inch narrower. The difference is 1/8" on both edges.
This has implications for aligning the cutting mat in the machine.

I suggest avoiding mats made for Silhouette and picking brands you know are the full width - you will definitely be ok with HTVRONT and LokLik.

Unfortunately you cannot rely on the descriptions.
The unbranded description actually states “The data are all measured manually, and there may be an error of 0.5-1cm.”

Cricut and HTVRONT Loklik are all the same size I had no problem with all of them with both machines

Very interesting. I had not compared the mats for my other machines until I saw this, lol. I use Nicapa (off brand) for my Cameo 3 and 4 but they are slightly smaller than the LOKLiK one.

I’ve ordered unbranded mats from temu and they’re the same size as the Loklik & htvront mats. I prefer the tackiness of the unbranded ones, paper materials are not as difficult to remove especially on the light grip mat. The light grip mat from Htvront is still quite sticky
