DIY Project Sharing | Fresh Warm Coffee Served Daily with iEngrave Cover Machine

One of my favorite beverages is coffee. I love starting my day with a fresh, warm cup—it energizes me to tackle everything I’ve planned. I also enjoy sipping coffee while reading messages or catching up on online community activities from my laptop or phone. That’s why I decided to create a coffee-themed home décor piece for our living room using the iEngrave machine. It’s one of the materials I tested during my Hands-On Reviewer Program.

MACHINE USED: LOKLiK iEngrave Cover Machine

MACHINE SETTINGS:

Operation Style: Cut
Mode Style: Line
Material: Cardstocks (92# wt. & 110# wt.)
Power: 100%
Speed: 1300mm/min (Cardstock 92# wt.) & 1122mm/min (Cardstock 110# wt.)
Passes: 1
Time: 4 minutes

MATERIALS:

🩷Cardstock (92# wt. & 110# wt.)
🩷8" x 8" Shadow Frame Box
🩷Craft Glue
🩷Square foam double sided tape

TIP: When cutting cardstock, I recommend using magnets to hold it in place, since it tends to curl or shift while the machine is cutting.

Finished Size: Cut file is approximately 6.5" circle with an 8" x 8" shadow frame box.

Here is the link of my Part 2. Testing and Review and my link for my YouTube Tutorial if you missed it. Enjoy, Beautiful People!

It looks awesome, the design is very sof and armonic. I like the bump effect that the edges lines create. Is it laser burnt? Is it how it looks cutting cardboard with the iEngrave?

Thank you so much! :kissing_heart: I’m really glad the soft, harmonic vibe came through—it was exactly what I was going for :coffee::sparkles:

The “bump” effect you noticed is actually from the cut lines themselves! You’ve got a great eye! That bump effect is one of my favorite surprises when working with cardstock.

Magnets were my secret weapon to keep everything crisp — cardstock loves to wiggle when it’s excited! NOTE: I forgot to use magnets on my first cut, but I corrected that on the second—and as you’ll see below, it gave me a much crisper result.

TIP: If you want cleaner and crisper cut, you can mirror image your design.

If that was the intention you nailed it!
I like having the chance to choose between the two finishes.

If I had to use a magnet under a laser cutting, I would never do it if you didn’t tell us you did and everything is fine :joy: so thank you!

Haha, right? I had the same hesitation at first! But after testing it out, I can confirm—magnets under the iEngrave are totally safe as long as they’re flat and placed outside the cutting path. They make a huge difference with cardstock, especially when it starts to curl mid-cut.

I’m so glad the two finishes stood out to you! I love giving options, and it’s fun to see how a tiny tweak (like using magnets) can change the final look. Thanks so much for the kind words and for noticing the details—it means a lot! 🩷🩷

Ahaa! That is a powerfull machine, and safety is important. Your work testing it is also a bit of the Emperor meal tester, please be safe

Haha, I love that—“Emperor’s meal tester” is officially going on my crafting résumé! :crown::smile: You’re absolutely right though—safety is always top priority. I make sure to test carefully and share only what’s been proven safe through hands-on trials. The iEngrave is powerful, but with the right setup and precautions, it’s a total game-changer for paper projects.

Thanks for the thoughtful reminder and the smile! I’ll keep testing so you don’t have to (but I promise to dodge any metaphorical poison darts along the way) :muscle::sparkles: :joy:

Aww, thank you so much! :coffee::sparkling_heart: I had way too much fun with this one—who knew cardstock could look so cozy? I was low-key nervous it wouldn’t hold up, but with the right settings (and a few magnets for good behavior), it totally delivered. Now I just need to resist making a matching cocoa station… or do I? :smirk:
