DIY Project Sharing | From iCraft to Handbag, Summer Tote Vinyl Project

Vinyl Tote Bag design Using iCraft & LLiS

  1. Step 1: Open LLiS and browse the “Summer” collection in the library.
Step 2: Search for an image, type “sunglasses.”
    Step 3: Choose
    “Summer Anticipation”
    “Free blue sunglasses SVG”
  2. Step 4: Ungroup the layers. Delete or hide any shapes you don’t want.
Step 5: Change colours if you want using the Fill Tool.
Step 6: Select both text and image, then click MAKE.
Step 7: Make sure your design stays inside the red border.

Cutting the Vinyl
3. Step 8: Select Standard Cut (for adhesive vinyl).
Step 9: Tick the box “All Colours”
Step 10: Choose your material. I used saved settings for HTVRont adhesive vinyl (no mirroring needed).
4. Step 11: Click “Add to Task”
Step 12: Each colour piece will be added separately.
Black Vinyl: Text
White Vinyl: Glasses offset
Blue Vinyl: Glasses frame
5. Step 13–15 Cut each colour on your mat one at a time.
6. Step 16 weed all your vinyl pieces

Applying the Vinyl
7. Step 17: Cut transfer tape to size for each design piece.
Step 18: Peel off the tape backing, place it on top of the vinyl.
Step 19: Burnish (rub) the tape onto the vinyl, then carefully peel off the vinyl backing.
8. Step 20: Position your vinyl piece on the handbag and rub until it sticks.
If letters lift, lay the tape back down and rub again before continuing.
Peel the transfer tape off once everything is stuck in place.

Tie a scarf to the handle for that beachy vibe and
wait for summer, to hit the beach!

Thanks Belle, I did cut and try to set the HTV but it would not stick at all

its polyvinyl I looked it up since you asked and it can definitely be the reason the HTV didn’t stick properly. It definately repelled the adhesive chemically. luckily i had some adhesive vinyl, it stuck on real good. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
