Hi everyone, I need some help with my Loklik Crafter machine. I’m having trouble with the print-and-cut calibration—it keeps failing to read the registration mark. Also, the standard cut function isn’t working properly either. Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it? I’d really appreciate your help. Thank you so much!
We have a couple of extensive guides on print then cut calibration in the community, but I can’t find them at the moment. I’m sure someone with the right permissions will share a link soon.
In the meantime… could you tell us what issue you’re experiencing with the standard cut? And if you can share a couple of pictures—one of the calibration sheet and another showing the cutting issue—it’ll be much easier for the community to help you out quickly.
Also, is it a calibration problem or a reading registration mark problem? Now that I´m reading you again, it´s not quite clear.
Make sure both firmware and software are up to date
Make sure the room is completely dark it worked with me that way
Or the opposite… not enough light. I just did a print & cut test myself, and of course, the lack of proper lighting drove my Crafter crazy… This is one of those classic P&Cs I leave for the next day, and then it works perfectly. I could add more light, but it’s late over here.
Another thing that can cause issues is when the printing material is either too matte or too shiny. In the first case, you can go over the lines with a pen or marker. In the second, you can stick some tape on the corners so the registration marks get printed on a less shiny surface.
Could you explain what problems you are having with print then cut and standard cut. Giving us more information as what is actually happening would really help us to help you.
My tips is make sure everything is up to date. Firmware and Software
After that do a normal cut calibration and do a test cut to see if it worked. If it was fine complete a print then cut calibration, then test that.
