Happy New Year to all!
First on my craft agenda is to finish a blanket that I am crocheting. I started it in September and spent time here and there working on it prior to my major back surgery November 3rd. Since then, I have only finished 6 or 7 rows, and I only have about 20 more to go. I can’t wait to finish it, so now I just need to knock a few rows out everyday and it will be done in no time.
Happy 2026 Missing my crafting things since we’re visiting family.
I hope my pirnter hasn’t clogged
For this year I want to try out 3D printing and DTF printing… The obly problem is the budget
Happy New Year! This is the project I made yesterday (January 1). It should be done before year end, unfortunately the supplier of the pouch was not able to shipped the items on time that is why I personalized it on New Years day.
I have not made my first craft of the year but it will be making a memorial capsule with flowers for my father in law from his twin passing because I did not have a container I liked to make the two he asked for.
I have many crafting plans for this year. My #1 priority will be to make a mini faux leather backpack purse with matching keychain that I’ve been planning for a while. I also want to finish the clay earrings I started last month, but got wrapped up in the cozy creations event, which I truly enjoyed! I tried making something with cardstock, yesterday, with my Crafter, but the design was too small & intricate for my machine, so I’ll be going back to the drawing board, to figure out a different way to make it so it will be able to handle the workload I request of it. It was going to be put on a card, but that was too small, so I’m going to make it bigger and see if that’ll work. I really want it to come together the way I’ve envisioned it.
I am excited for 2026 and the first projects I make will be a few tutorials for the community. They are designed, so now onto cutting/creating and making the tutorials. I am sticking to a Valentine’s theme as it is already a little over a month away. Here is a little sneak peak on the cake topper I created using all IdeaStudio elements.
That’s really nice… @Marino, those shadow boxes—I can’t wait to see the finished result. @timmytation, I absolutely love my D1 DTF printer and hope yours isn’t clogged. @misshaven, I always put him first and just adore these. @Judi_B, my condolences. @Samantha_Bryant, I love how you have everything planned out. @SarahiRubio, I’m overflowing with ideas too and need to write down all my projects so I can get them done. @skyicreations, that cake topper is adorable—such a fun thing to make! I made two of mine last year.
What’s the first project you want to make in 2026?
My first make of 2026 was a set of custom sublimated car coasters — one created for Linda, who is an AKA, and another for Latoya, who attends the University of Michigan. It felt good to start the year with something personal and meaningful for people I care about. I just finished them
Something you’re excited to make or try
I’m excited to pull out my HTVRont tumbler heat press and finally dive into making mugs and tumblers. It’s been calling my name, and I’m ready to explore all the creative possibilities.
A WIP you want to finish
I’m currently working on a set of hunting shirts for my better half and his hunting partners from KillaSquad Kennels. I’m customizing each shirt with their personal details, and I can’t wait to see the full set come together.
A new material/tool/machine you want to explore
I really want to start making custom phone cases. It’s a new lane I’m excited to try, and I can already see the designs
As I still have a few more days at family’s home until Three Kings coming but finally have time without Christmas preps, I’m going to keep testing the 3D printer.
After a couple of trials I have this capped star (first had no cap), but it still needs some wall capping. I’m sure it is obvious for the experts, so I’ll take the advantage of having you… can you please tell me in what parameter should I increase thickness in Cura??
I’m trying to make a cake topper for my son’s birthday tomorrow, and at the same time, it’s an additional service I plan to offer this January. So I need more practice and to watch tutorials on YouTube again because I’ve already forgotten the steps on how to do the slicing and all.
This year I think im going to get more into DTF on cups or hard materials. The student council at my son’s school want to explore new spirit wear items. So i can make mockups.
