Unfortunately, I’m busy for the time slots that are left for the interview. But I’ll share some of my thoughts here.
I’ve only had a limited experience with the iPaint. I’ve had it for about a month now. The concept for it is very cool. The execution can be a bit different and troublesome.
I haven’t had any trouble using the images that are for the iPaint in LOKLiK Idea Studio. The trouble for me was when I wanted to import a picture of my dogs and have the iPaint draw it on a canvas so I could then paint by number. The software made some weird choices to draw things that were the same colour but drew lines all through it so you thought it was a different colour. Just looking at the line work on the canvas was very confusing. I think some improvements should be made to help convert the picture to a paint by number. Other thing I did struggle with sometimes was the numbering. Some of the numbers were very clearly written and some were halfway over a line and looked very jittery. I did the same picture for a canvas a couple times and got different results for the numbers. The inconsistency makes me feel I couldn’t sell these as paint by number kits.
I have made painted canvas and did hand embroidery with it so far. I was happy with the results of the images from idea studio.
I really love diamond art, and I was really hoping I could make my own diamond art kits to sell at markets with this machine. I really hope you could incorporate into the software to add diamond art circles to the image. Be similar to rhinestone software. I did half of one of my kawaii drawings and added circles manually, but the software wouldn’t add a number in each circle to say what diamond colour to use. I would love to see a rhinestone and diamond art feature to be added to LOKLiK Idea Studio in the future.
I have a couple videos coming out about the iPaint and my experience and would be happy for the team to contact me about it as well. It’s just unfortunate that I have doctors and dentist appointments at the available time slots for the interview.
