Wood, leather, acrylic and even a rock? I was amazed with the materials that it could engrave. and curious with other posibilities too!
engraving accessories would be nice, can it also cut through fabric? just wondering. I never had an engraving machine before so I donāt really know the works and the materials. it says 300+ materials possible, that is a lot to cover. I love gifting personalized items so this would be a handy machine to have though this may be a little out of my budget for now but one can only hope.
Thereās a lot of questions I ask myself about what it is able to cut or engrave. As @prinsesaian says, I never had an engraving machine before, so I donĀ“t really know the usuals. But IĀ“ve been asking myself, and also on the forum, if it will cut soft materials such as rubber or thick craft foam to make stamp negatives, or it would burn them. Maybe itās a silly or obvious question, I donĀ“t know.
I would love to see the list of 300 materials that the machine can engrave and cut. Iāve learned that this machine canāt engrave on precious metals like copper, silver & gold. Same as those reflective materials, transparent acrylic and glass unless they were treated with a black coating. I assumed and expected that there will be a possibility to engrave or cut very intricate design for craft foams or fabrics with special coating as well. Although, if I will just cut a square foam or fabric, best way is to use my scissors
Looking at the details for the iEngrave, I am so excited. I am familiar with similar lasers, and this is such a great option. I would suggest the āAll-in-oneā Kit as it has all the essentials needed for successful projects. The enclosed cover is great for blocking the laser exposure and reducing smoke. The honey comb base is a MUST!!! I have worked on projects with and without and I would never again go without the honeycomb. It allows for air to cool the material and minimize any sharing vs not having the honeycomb. The air assist is another MUST!!! The cuts and engraving are so much cleaner. The residue on the top of the cuts is much less.
Though iEngrave⢠hasnāt reached Australian shores just yet, my creative mind is already buzzing with ideas.
Iām imagining journal covers etched with wildflowers, wooden tags, and leather pieces all getting a fun little makeover lol! plus i love the idea of creating acrylic goodies.
Lately, laser machines have been everywhere online, and Iām not surprised to see iEngrave join the incredible LOKLiK range, this brand keeps raising the bar.
