One way to improve the library would be to introduce a system that allows users to benefit from sharing their completed projects. Unlike many other competitive platforms that require a paid subscription, LOKLIK is completely free — which is amazing! But that might raise the question: how can users gain something in return when everything is free?

Since most users are already part of the LOKLIK community, it would be great if they could submit their finished designs to the library, giving others the opportunity to recreate them. To encourage this, users could earn LOKLIK points each time someone else uses their shared project.

This would create a positive loop — users would be rewarded for their contributions, and others would be inspired to participate more, creating a more active and creative community overall.

While there is already a creator program, many users who download the app already have the necessary equipment and may not want to commit to regular content creation. If the library offered rewards based on how often a user’s design is used, it would inspire more people to share high-quality projects — all while keeping the platform accessible and fun for everyone.

Another way to improve the app would be by adding more functional features. For example, allowing users to upload larger files, import their own custom designs, and slice them using LOKLIK Studio shapes would make the design process more flexible and creative. Introducing a Snap Mat feature would also be a great addition, helping users make better use of their materials and engage more directly with the machine — these are fundamental features that really enhance the overall experience.

Additionally, expanding the print-and-cut area would be a big step forward. Right now, there’s a lot of paper wastage, and considering the current environmental concerns, it’s important to support more sustainable crafting practices.

A great option for the design library would be to allow us to share the projects with other crafters. I know this is in the works, so I am excited for that option. As a crafter, I remember when I started I was not comfortable with creating my own designs so having access to projects would greatly help others.

Share designs. Happy Birthday,
Anniversary designs, different holiday designs that people come up with. Animal silhouettes.
Car/ Motorcycle SVG line drawings. I don’t use studio as much as I could. My biggest gripe is not having arch printing. Having some pre made graphics ( Happy Birthday, or Happy New Year. ) just a few suggestions. If we can’t wrap it ourselves at least we can get it pre done.

If I will re-design or re-configure the design library, I prefer to have a wider range of themes and styles such as trendy, most popular, seasonal, minimalist, classic, and many more! I would love to see artist-creative projects too, whether these includes SVGs, popular/trendy fonts, or even card making. A great example that I felt it is missing in the design library is card making. When I typed in the word card making in the search button, there was no result (please see below):

I am a person that loves card making all year round. I would appreciate if this feature will be added in the library. Cards for all occasion and season to include the contributing artists, materials, design & fonts used in the projects. Also, customizable features are greatly appreciated. Like for example, I found a card at the design library that I am looking for then, I have the options to make it right away or customized it first at canvas before sending it to the cutting machine. This option will be possible if we have access to the creators’ or contributing artists’ projects or designs in the library itself (another great feature that needs to be added). Again, we are just talking about Design Library, Canvas needs some improvements as well, and I feel like I need to add more features there than here

One important thing I need to have in the library is a section for my uploaded files. When I upload a SVG I need it to be there and use it whenever I need too. Not upload it every time I need it.

I love making handmade cards as well. I love to see that to the added features, too! When I typed “Easter Card” in the design library, it should filter all card for that specific find or when I typed “Mother’s Day Card”, all the different card designs should be filtered in that category as well and each card has their own info in regards to whatever design, font, materials used. Also, a feature that we have the options to bookmark, saved, edit, share, comment, etc. on the projects of contributing artists and as a return of appreciation for their hard work, they should gain cheer points.

I agree with everything that has been said already.

  1. Step by step tutorial Projects within the library.

The biggest thing to add is full tutorial projects. I have seen the recent tutorial projects that are in the inspire section. I don’t think these are great. One project says create printable sticker sheets to create a cute easter bunny jar. It says to use Vinyl cutting mats and printable heat transfer vinyl. Printable heat transfer vinyl isn’t the best option to go on a glass jar. Also doesn’t mention anything about needing an inkjet printer, the model cutting machine they are using. The cut settings that they used etc. These can be done by users or the creators or even LOKLiK paid employees. But they should be tried and tested and include material list, easy step by step instructions of how to make the project including pictures. The project should have all the elements as SVG’s so you can then change words etc to personalize it for you. It’s a great idea to have a reward system for people who create these to gain cheers every time someone makes the project, but what is stopping a person from making their own design in multiple accounts to gain cheers. So, the best option is maybe when a tutorial project is successfully accepted and meets the criteria you gain like 1000 cheer points and that’s it. Be a onetime reward.

  1. Searching projects
I would like the search function to be better. Say I want to make a mothers day t-shirt. I should be able to search mother’s day t-shirt and then suitable svgs should come up along with tutorial projects to make a mothers day t-shirt.

  2. Different levels for projects
Each project should have levels assigned to it as well. For beginners, novice, intermediate and advanced. I speak to so many beginners and they just get overwhelmed and sometimes don’t even use their machine because they tried to do an advanced project first but they didn’t realize it was.

  3. Search by operation
You should be able to search for a project by operation. I know some SVGs in the library already have standard cut or print then cut and writing operation types which is great but what about scoring projects, foiling projects etc.

  4. Get rid of the clutter in the Library
Get rid of these ai generated clip art images that nobody wants and have to sift through to see the designs they want. There are heaps of designs in the library now, you don’t need this bloat. It’s annoying for the user to scroll through

  5. My own SVGS
When a user uploads an SVG in to LOKLiK Idea studio it should be uploaded to the library in my own svg section so we can reuse that design in multiple projects when ever we want. I did a craft fair and for each size bag or sticker or t shirt I wanted to have my logo on, I had to upload my logo every time to then put it on each item I wanted. It was very annoying and made the process slow.

  6. Patterns
I want to be able to upload patterns or choose one from the library and then insert that pattern into a word or SVG as a fill option

  7. Search in general
The search function in general needs a lot of work as well as the filter options. I searched for mothers day and it brought up a couple designs. I then go to New and there is at least two pages of mothers day designs there. I then go down to the festival tab and clicked on the mother’s day filter and no results showed up. However, you are tagging and categorizing these images in the library needs a huge overhaul.

Also some of the images and elements in the library work in very peculiar ways. Normally with an svg each element in that svg can be split and then the user can use the contour button to remove pieces of the svg that they dont want. This does work with some of the images in the library but others act really weird. Maybe true svg’s and then other images can be another category for a search option like image type or something.

That’s all I can think of at the moment. I do use LOKLiK Idea Studio a lot and it has improved a lot but it really needs a lot of work still. To be honest there has been many times I have been searching through the library and get frustrated, so I just end up going to creative fabrica and find the designs I want. I don’t know if there is an option for LOKLiK to hire artists to produce svgs for the library. I still think LOKLiK Idea Studio should be free as that is the only thing that is a bonus compared to other cutting programs.

To enhance the library, a user-sharing system could be introduced, letting members upload their finished projects and earn LOKLIK points when others use their designs. This would incentivize creativity and foster a more active, collaborative community—all while keeping the platform free and enjoyable.

Adding features like larger file uploads, custom design imports, and slicing via LOKLIK Studio would make crafting more flexible. A Snap Mat tool and expanded print-and-cut areas could reduce material waste, supporting sustainable practices and improving user experience.

Hoping for curved text soon

I may be a bit late on this post, but I’ll share my thoughts anyway  (still new to LOKLiK & I don’t have my machine yet) not sure if this has already in the design studio but I would love to see more templates or designs especially text, the font styles that I want to create for customized or personalized name projects. Thanks for reading!
