Loklik Engraver not working

Just purchased my machine, have it set up, cannot get it to run or do anything and I have tried multiple programs, I get error messages that motion sensor trigger when using light burn. When using Loklik design space it won’t even frame. It tells me framing failed. It won’t find the origin. If it does frame correctly and I hit start, it makes a bunch of noise beeps one time and says interrupt. Right out of the box and it’s not working. I have the one without the lid. I don’t know what to do. Please help.

Is it the cover machine or the one with out? That can be helpful in helping you.

Without cover.

Ok first question when you power it on how many peeps does it make on mine if it beeps more the one time something is off. I tub it off manually move the engraver back to top left corner. Then turn it on again and listen if it’s one beep.

3 beeps when I start it up. The laser is in the left top corner when I turn it on

I have found 3 beeps means somethings off turn off again and move the laser head a little I bitterly tap it in a direction and move the bar very little (you can’t don’t that with the cover one) it was something I just played with once I got it to start with one beep it was fine I have only used the Loklik app

Thank you, I’ll try it. It’s brand new out of the box :disappointed: it’s never not done 3 beeps, from the first time I turned it on.

Take the laser head disconnect it put it back on snd reconnect it it may just be on a bit off.

I tried that, and still 3 beeps. Should it only beep one time when you turn it on?

And thank you for all your help. I’m so bummed right now

Mine only beeps one time… did you put the mini sd card in your engraver?

Hi and welcome to the community @barbara.a.petty!

Oh no, that sounds incredibly frustrating—especially when you’re excited to dive in and create! Let’s walk through a few things that might help get your LOKLiK iEngrave (lidless version) up and running:

:hammer_and_wrench: Quick Troubleshooting Checklists:

1. Motion Sensor Error in LightBurn
• The lidless version relies on a motion sensor for safety. If it’s triggered, the machine halts.
• Make sure the machine is on a stable surface with no vibrations or movement nearby.
• Try disabling “Auto Stop” in LightBurn’s device settings if available (some users report success with this).

2. Framing Failed in Loklik Design Space
• Confirm the origin is set correctly—try manually homing the laser to the front-left corner.
• Check that your design is within the working area and not outside the bounds.
• Make sure the USB connection is secure and the correct COM port is selected.

3. Start Button Causes Beeping + Interrupt
• This often means the machine thinks something is unsafe or misaligned.
• Double-check:• The laser head isn’t obstructed.
• The emergency stop isn’t engaged.
• The firmware is up to date (you can check via the LOKLiK app or website).

4. General Setup Tips
• Use the official LOKLiK Design Space first to confirm basic functionality before trying LightBurn.
• Try a simple test file (like a small square) to rule out design file issues.
• If you’re using LightBurn, make sure the device profile matches the iEngrave specs exactly.

Bonus Tip

Some users with the lidless version have found that placing a small weight or stabilizer near the motion sensor helps prevent false triggers. Not official advice—but worth a try if you’re stuck!

If none of this works, I’d recommend reaching out to LOKLiK support directly with your error messages and setup details. You deserve a smooth start, and they should help make it right.

You’re not alone—many of us have hit bumps with new machines, and it’s totally okay to ask for help. Keep us posted, and we’ll troubleshoot with you every step of the way!

I have the covered version of the iEngrave, and mine beeps three times every time I plug it in and power it on. The emergency stop and key switch are both engaged, so everything seems set correctly. Meanwhile, @Judi_B has the lidless version, and hers only beeps once—so I’m not sure if the beeping pattern is actually part of the issue or just a model difference.

To help troubleshoot, could you share your full setup process with us? Screenshots of each step and your canvas view in the IdeaStudio app would be super helpful. Like I mentioned earlier, try framing a simple square first to test the basics—it’s a great way to rule out design-related issues.

Thank you! I’ll try these things out. Can I ask a dumb question; with the lidless version how do you know what’s the “working” area? Maybe I’ll just buy a brand new table too :joy:

:test_tube: Framing Test Tip
If you have an old 12” x 12” cutting mat, it makes a great visual guide for testing your machine’s framing feature. Just place it under your machine to help align your design area.

:warning: Safety Reminder
Always use a honeycomb tray beneath your machine when cutting—this protects your work surface from damage.

:triangular_ruler: Design Sizing Tip
Keep your design within a 12” square. Personally, I create a square template between 11” and 11.5” and nest my design inside—that’s my “safe zone” to avoid edge issues.

Wishing you smooth testing and happy making! If you need help, we’re just a message away.

Thanks for your help, still not working. My machine can’t “home” and triggers that alert or the motion sensor alert. I’ve been in contact with support but it’s so slow to get a response.
