Hoping to test out an iCraft as well to compare it with the Loklik Crafter.

Tried the print and cut with my crafter the other day. It was a hit and miss.

My software and firmware are both up to date but the crafter took a long time to read the registration marks. I was only able to cut one decent print and cut on regular copy paper, the other cuts were very much way off. I made sure that the contours were well aligned with the images before doing the print and cut.

Hoping for the day that the print and cut will be consistent.

It’s a shame when you end up wasting a lot of people when the machine isn’t doing what it’s supposed to do. I first hand experience this was one of my other craft machines but mastered that however for me to fork out for another machine it needs to be perfect and better than the one that I have so I’m gonna hold back until either I win one or until the software and the collaboration is on point because right now there are a lot of downfall with this current machine and it’s not making me want to transition over.

This is totally reasonable; you are investing into the machine. You want to make sure it’s worth it.

Hoping to win one as well or become a collaborator like you, but I’m not sure if they offer that in Asia, plus my reach isn’t that big yet.

I do hope Loklik would still continue updating and fixing the bugs of the v1 machine and not simply focus on the new iCraft :pray:t2:

I am manifesting a positive resolution to the challenges you’re currently facing. It is an honor to be part of the Creator Program, as it allows me the opportunity to test products and provide valuable feedback on areas that may need improvement. I’m pleased to share that I will soon receive an iCraft machine, which will allow me to familiarize myself with its features in depth and integrate it as my primary tool. Stay tuned for future posts where I will share my experiences and insights regarding the machine.

You could be the exact same position as me. Just keep creating sharing your experiences and connect with people through this community honestly you will be so surprised what this company has to offer. I am beyond amazed with how my journey is going so far and cannot wait for you to join the creator community also. Fingers crossed for you.

I can’t wait to see. I’ve been watching YouTube videos. They make it look so easy but the program from my prospective needs a lot of update/upgrading.

Thank you for keeping my spirts up. I still have a lot to learn, plus english isn’t my 1st language so it’s a bit challenging for me to properly express my experiences and I’m also not as well versed in capturing my process and editing videos  but i’m hoping someday I can apply and be accepted as a Collaborator.

Loklik Crafter was my 1st ever cutting machine, we’ve been through a lot :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: since there weren’t many tutorials when I 1st had it

@timmytation I am expecting my iCraft to arrive soon but in the meantime, I hope the following helps you with the print and cut. These are tips I have learned by using other cutting machines, not sure if they will help you but worth a try. 1) what paper type are you using? I have experienced that the registration marks are hard to read when the paper is super glossy. A quick fix would be to place a matte tape piece over the marks to allow the readers to read them properly. 2) Is the crafting area well lit? At the beginning of my crafting journey, I realized that the shadows and low lights affected the registration marks. I placed a well lit lamp close to my desk to help light the paper and it helped. 3) Are all your print items outside of the areas close to the registration mark? If you images are too close to the registration marks, it tends to “confuse” the reading. I would make sure to leave that area clear to get a better cut. 4) Not sure if this is a feature, but I like to turn on the “bleed” print option. This prints the image with additional color around the image so if there is a slight error in cutting, the image is not entirely lost.

These are really helpful, great tips  I can’t wait for my machine to get here. Time is going so slowly

Thank you for these tips :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: however, they were all followed in the print and cut I recently did. My paper was not glossy since it was regular copy/bond paper so as not to waste expensive material for trial cuts. My prints were not near the registration marks since I feared that they would interfere with the marks detection. I’ve tried different lighting settings but it was still a hit and miss with the registration marks detection. I haven’t tried the print with bleed though, maybe I’ll try that next time. Not sure if the machine is faulty, hopefully not. :pray:t2:

Mmm, I am sorry to hear. Hopefully you are able to resolve it soon. I will give print and cut a test once my machine arrives to see if there are any additional items to consider for it to work.

Is this the crafter machine? Or the icraft. Unfortunately it is a known problem for the crafter machine. It’s a very big hit or miss when doing print and cut.

I believe she has the crafter
