For those of us who craft late into the night (or just prefer a darker interface), dark mode is finally here! You can switch between light and dark themes in the settings menu. Give it a try and see which one works best for you.
We’ve added a couple of AI-powered tools to make things a bit easier:
AI-Generated SVGs – Ever imagined turning words into designs? Now you can! Just type something like ‘cute cat’ or ‘retro sunburst’ and watch AI create an SVG image for you. It’s like having a mini artist in your pocket. It’s a handy shortcut when you need something quick.
Smart Background Remover – Ever tried removing a background manually? Yeah, it’s a hassle. Now, just upload an image, click once, and AI does the work for you. Perfect for making stickers, cut files

Thank goodness dark mode has returned. I preferred using dark mode before in the old Idea Studio, good thing it has returned. My eyes were starting to hurt.

But I do hope they can already fix the registration marks, make it movable up to the farthest corner of the material so we can maximize print and cut.
Oh my God that’s amazing. I’m so glad that the background remover is now up and running on the program. And again the dark mode is an advantage for a night owl. I am one for sure.
Same with mine, i use a macbook and i need to do this too. Last I checked this version wasn’t available yet (2.2.2) but it shows on the app logs already
I downloaded it again and it is 2.2.3 and yes the new function is there.
I’m gonna do a post about the print and cut later today to discuss the situation coz it really needs to be fixed
Why can’t I see this? My software version is shown as up to date. When I click on the notifications section, I also get the network error. Do I need to delete the program and reinstall it?
Yes, I think it can only be updated this way. But it would be more streamlined without having to delete or re-download the program file. I think there will be an update for that.
You’re absolutely right it would be much better that we don’t need to delete and re install it to get an updated version. I’ve spoken to the moderators already regarding this as it is a HUGE thing that’s holding me back as sometimes people forget to update the software.
I didn’t delete I just downloaded the software again from the website and installed it on my pc and it worked, but yes as I said before it keeps saying no network connection try again later
Well, that is dangerous to keep Downloading software again and again on your device as it could cause you to have less storage. They need to sort this out as soon as possible otherwise not everyone has alternative stories solutions when it comes to their smart devices. Me being one of them.
If you look into your device, you will have numerous downloads of the application and they stay there. That’s what I noticed with my computer. I had to delete the manually and they were just taking up storage.
I had installed the program without uninstalling it. I thought this problem was caused by that and I completely uninstalled the program and reinstalled it. The result was successful. The problem I mentioned above was solved.
In short, until a new update comes out, I think it is best to completely uninstall the program and reinstall it. Is it your personal library? They are coming back, don’t worry.
