No Vector outline

Hello. Asking again guys. Want to ask why my image is showing no vector outline so unable to make it. I am uploading an image from my computer but it uploading directly to canvass and nothing showing before like if i have to adjust the offset. Do i have to do anything? Im going crazy with my machine and the ideastudio. Thanks again

You need to select background remover first, then select standard cut or print then cut.

This is for users who use transparent background images, and can import the image directly into the canvas.

With the new update, you need to choose the function you want to do → background remove, satandard cut, print and cut for the contours to be traced

Make sure you have your image selected in Idea Studio. Then top right hand corner under make there is a design tab.

Under the design tab you can remove background. Then select the operation for your uploaded image. Most of the time you will be picking between standard cut or print then cut.

The software is also updating to incorporate the functions of other machines it connects to, so make sure to take note of the changes in every update :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

It’s awfull. I cant’t do anything with detail. Does some one knows how to fix that?

If your image needs more detailed cuts, it’s better to upload an svg file of it and not simply convert it. JPG and PNG files tend to have tiny pixels that can be detected by the software that’s why the tracing is like that. SVG file are crisper and more scalable without needing to have a big file size.

The software is super confusing, and offers no help whatsoever with errors. Tutorials are generic, and YouTube videos only reference the Library. I want to upload my own design and simply cut it. Even that’s almost impossible, as I keep getting Vector outline errors, and nothing I see online is even available to me. I have to relearn the steps every time, because my project board has no options. They’re all grayed out. I really wish I could get my money back for this garbage. None of the instructions above are in my software, and none help me at all. Next time I’ll get a Cricut like everyone else. I’m so sorry I bought this junk.

Hi, @Robert_Nechtman.:smiley: Welcome to the community. I’m sorry you’re not enjoying your experience. Getting your money back is 100% possible, if you’ve not had your machine for over a year, and you have your order number. You can send an email to support@htvront.com, & they can most definitely set up a return for you.

However, I’d like to help you understand the software a little more. I know all software is confusing and overwhelming, at first, including this one. It’s really a great tool once you understand how everything works. Are you using the PC version or the mobile app? This will help me to give you the best instructions. If you’re not up for that, I do have a video introducing the latest software update, in which I go over all of the tools.

Introduction to Loklik IdeaStudio 3.0.0 | Learn What Each Tool Does

I also have many other videos on my channel in which you can watch me create full projects, start to finish. Since this seems to be a topic that others are having problems with, I will definitely put it on my list for future videos.

I know some of the wording in the software and app can be confusing, but we are currently working on creating a better UI so that the language will make it easier to understand exactly how each tool functions.

So, if you would like some help, now, and want to allow me to help you, I would be happy to do so. If so, besides telling me if you’re using the mobile app or the PC software, I would like to know what exactly you’re trying to do with the image you’re uploading. Are you trying to Print-Then-Cut? Or are you trying to do a standard cut from vinyl? Also, if you would like to provide a screenshot of the image, that would be helpful. Or at least give me the file type of the image, is it PNG, JPG, SVG, etc.? I look forward to your reply. If you choose not to accept my assistance, and want to follow through with a refund, I completely understand. You can click the orange support above and it will start an email to them.
