I’ve been seeing cute little box cutters everywhere lately, and I finally decided to make one my own in my @Sew.With.Steph style.
I used HTVRONT permanent vinyl to give it a punny upgrade (“BOXED CUTTER” with little corner brackets, because I can’t resist a sewing joke). It was such a small surface to work on, but the vinyl grabbed beautifully and the details came out so clean!
Why I made it:
I open way too many packages for sewing projects, so having a dedicated tool (that isn’t my fabric scissors
) just felt right. Plus, it’s fun to customize something small and inexpensive and make it feel like a real notion.
What I used:
• HTVRONT Self-Adhesive Black Vinyl
• HTVRONT Transfer Tape
• HTVRONT Cutting Machine
• Mini box cutter from Amazon
• A steady-ish hand
• A pun I couldn’t let go of
If anyone else has been wanting to decorate their cutters or tools, this was a super quick little project and now I want to vinyl everything in my sewing space ![]()
