After the welcome sign, it is time to decorate inside home, so I made this hanging felt Christmas ornament garland as next Christmas deco series.
I have been finishing the renovation of my craft room and I added some little ceiling hooks that were waiting for something pretty to hang from them. Today I finally got to use one of them with this Christmas ornament hanging string made from felt and htv. On the other side of the room I have the colourful bucket from Hickethier, so now my space is starting to show all the colour I imagined for it.
These ornaments follow the same idea and the same assets I uploaded to Idea Studio in my previous project. Stars and snowflakes in red, white and green, made from felt and decorated with white htv and my favourite green gold chameleon htv and that beautiful 1mm red cord and golden beds that adds to it that Chinesse vibes. I want to use these assets for most of my Christmas decoration this year and I will make more for myself and also to give as presents.
This project has been a real test for my Crafter. Felt is not the easiest material and fine cuts are quite demanding. The Crafter can do it and it is a little champion, but I can see it needs a bit more strength for very delicate shapes and my blades suffered more than usual, so I recommend having spare blades ready. With some patience the results are worth it, since the textures of the felt and the shine of the htv look beautiful together.
I am very happy with how this garland turned out. It brings a soft and warm Christmas feeling to my newly organized craft room and it was the perfect way to start decorating the space I worked so hard to renew. I hope you like it and that the assets are helpful for anyone looking for Christmas decorations or for simple shapes that can be adapted to your projects.
