Skyi Creations on Instagram: "Now it's time to assemble our project. Isn't it

Here is an idea for Valentine’s Day! Create a one of a kind frame adorned with handmade paper flowers.

Paper flowers: created using 65lb cardstock. I use the Recollection brand from Michaels as the core is not white. It is best not to use white core cardstock for paper flowers since you see the exposed sides. I have tried using thicker/heavier cardstock but this weight seems to work the best to allow the paper flowers to flow instead of wrinkling.
Tools used: paper cutting machine, weeding tool (or toothpick, kbob stick, or paper quilling tool can be used as well), Bearly Art glue and hot glue.
Frame: This particular frame was purchased at Michaels but I’ve seen similar ones at Dollar Tree and Target, use your imagination when shopping.

Details: As you see in the video, each flower was made prior to assembling the frame. Refer to my previous reels for details on how to make each flower. During assembling it is important for you to place the paper flowers close to each other to avoid gaps and spaces. I use a combination of glue and hot glue to place the flowers on the frame. I also use a paper shaping tool to press the flowers down to ensure they are adhering well. Add that final touch by adding paper leaves (curl those corners crafties, it makes such a big difference)! You can also add a layered paper tag to the frame to personalize it with a name or cute saying.
