It’s Tuesday again—time for a little community chat!
Some of us get the biggest thrill from the beginning of a project—gathering supplies, sketching out ideas, or diving into something totally new.
Others feel most satisfied at the very end—seeing everything come together, checking that final detail, and proudly saying “I actually finished this!”
Both sides have their joy (and their struggles lol), and we’re curious how it plays out for you:
I love starting—planning, prepping, and testing ideas is the best part!
I enjoy the process, but finishing a project is what makes it feel real.
I start more than I finish. Let’s not count how many are still in progress…

Tell us more in the comments!
Do you bounce between projects? Push through to the end no matter what? Or secretly enjoy organizing more than making?
We’d love to hear how you roll.
We’ll randomly pick 3 fun replies from the comments next Tuesday—each will receive 100 points as a little treat.
I enjoy buying supplies, unboxing parcels after planning things to do but I rarely get around to doing or finishing my ideas I’m more excited to receive and unbox the supplies and machines
I enjoy thinking of new projects and getting materials to finishing them… but who am I kidding? right now there are 3 unfinished projects on my table, I usually think of a new project while I am actually doing something so I start that and stop the one I’m currently doing and the cycle goes on I am also a full time mom and have to juggle motherly duties everyday so I don’t really have all the time.
one cannot predict when or where inspiration hits and sometimes it takes me minutes, or hours and some projects even weeks but I do EVENTUALLY finish if not all then some of them and that feels rewarding.
Looool this is a tough theme haha. Searching for supplies is like going to a candy shop when you’re a kid, and thinking about materials is like falling into a wormhole back to my fine fine arts background. Dealing with ideas (and the lack of them) is basically the spine of my life. I’m very OCD, so thinking about procedures is never-ending — I even have notes and first sketches from my college days, and many of them are still pending! But… when you finish something (? it´s never finished)
This question feels like a visit to a psychologist’s office. I’m gonna need several lives for some closure HAHAHA
I really do enjoy the process of making and I can’t wait to finish it because it brings so much joy to me to see the final output. When I encounter a new craft idea, I really want to make it also although without careful planning I just hop on it with the available materials I have if some material is lacking… either I buy it right away or my resourcefulness just came out of me, searching a material closest to what I need for the project It may sound silly but I had fun even in this way
I can relate to this too although I enjoy the process of making up to the final output, I admit that I also have pending projects I haven’t finished, as much as I enjoy making them there are really times I became busy or I think another new project to make although some aren’t finished yet
Yeah it’s challenging to find suitable supplies/materials I get it 'coz when I’m passionate about something I tend to be perfectionist or OCD (?) too hahah I think most of us want a really nice output and not just settling for less
I love the entire process, but I have noticed a difference in turnaround depending on if the projects are for me, paid customers or content. I focus on the items that have a “hard” deadline and move the projects that are my Crafting Bucket List to the back burner. It has been a lot easier for me to finish projects by cutting all of the material in 1 batch (for multiple projects), putting those materials in flat baskets and having them ready to assemble. I normally do this part as well as digital screenshots at night since the lighting isn’t idea for videos. I then have everything ready to assemble and create the next day while I record the entire process for content (this has been helpful, so I have content to post and don’t rush after to try to get a good photo). The entire process is very organized for me, at least on my desk area. DON’T EVER ASK ME TO SHOW MY FLOOR! Lol!!! Somehow all the paper scraps and foam papers miss the trash can everytime, lol.
I enjoy the whole process as well. Planning, prepping and testing are some of my favorites, but I also love the finished product moment when you are like. Wow I made that. In saying that, I work on a lot of projects all at once. My brain is a scatter brain so it’s very rare, I start a project and finish that project without doing a couple projects in between. I hear you about the floor as well @skyicreations, I also have a dump shelf were products and machines go until I get around to using them and sorting them.
I keep thinking how do content creators do this?and with several angles? hahaha I keep getting impatient filming and just do the project and not shoot anything
OMG this is so meeee I don’t know how to shoot property plus the lighting is off, I hate the shadows and the clutter everywhere so I just give up filming
Oh, the cycle of crafting! It’s like a rollercoaster of emotions. You buy all the shiny new supplies, feeling like a crafting superstar. Then you start your project, all excited and ready to conquer the world. But then, BAM! Reality hits. Suddenly, it’s harder than you thought, and you’re like, “Nope, I need a nap.” Days pass, you forget about your masterpiece, and then… ding… the crafting bug bites again! Back to the drawing board (or table, or whatever you’re working on)!
It’s a never-ending cycle, but hey, at least it’s fun!
Thanks to everyone who shared their stories last week—so relatable and fun to read!
