What would you recommend me?
Donāt get this wrong dear but lately there has been so many posts that are off topic and they are against the community guidelines⦠Like this one or many other posted by other members too.
Inspiration zone is meant to share our finished projects and then it became a zone for the shared projects.
I am not speaking against you just that so many new members donāt know the rules and how we started this community and how itās used to be.
Because we memorise all the stuff and the rules and now I feel everything is a Chaos. Sorry again itās not against you
Correct me if Iām wrong @rinsky
Oh, thatās a very good recommendation. I should take it. Marin has a big heart, so sweet from her giving you and anyone else the advise to read the community guidelines. Plus that way we help rinsky keeping the community tiddy xdd
In What category did I have to publish that dear? @Marino @redhada Or my lovely @rinsky Can you guide me for better her?
Thanks all ladies for the advice!
Not in Inspiration category, which as @Marino said is for actual finished projects sharing (she explainned it very well).
- DIY Project Sharing Guidelines
- A Beginnerās Guide | Getting Started withāProject Sharingā
- Project Sharing | How do I share my project on IS/APP?
Something like that should go to General category. But I think it goes a little bit further, and here Iām going to speak up and share my opinion.
The community guidelines talks about keeping it tidy, using emoji reactions instead of answering every comment with +1, me too, ahaā¦
But thereās something is not in the guidelines but it is common sense. Weāre around (I donāt know) 2k community members, lets say around 200 more or less active.
Letās say I open a couple of topics a week such us, and here let me exagerate a bit with humor:
"Title: Red, white, green or black?
Content: Iām about to prepare a cup of tea to relax while crafting. What kind of tea do you prefer?
Here goes a tea cup photo"
It should mean 400 topics a week about ācraftingā, the subject of this community.
The forum has been packed with that kind of topics last month, which together with all the regular activity of that lot of new members and so much official activity. In a month when a lot of members where disconnected having their deserved rest. In the come back, itās been a bit of a nightmare keeping up.
I think it is nice having SOME fringe topics from time to time, but itās even happening that there were many talking topics on things we already had talky tuesdays on, for instance, or someone had already opened another. The community guidelines also speak about using already existing topics when it has already been discussed, so some previous earch is needed before starting one. I understand when it happens on things such us āi cannot calibrateā (also avoidable but at least a real question). But I think it cannot become a habit from some users.
Itās a bit disturbing, to be honest, and I think everyone should refrain a bit and think about the community well being.
That said, thank for your understanding.
Thank you for the explanation thatās exactly what we need to know and do in the community to have a better crafting environment
Well said
Hi! If youāre asking members for input on your next DIY, feel free to post here in the General Category. Once youāve finalized your project and created it, you can take a photo of your finished handmade item and share it in the Inspiration Category, following the guidelines there.
I agree!Lately, there have been so many repetitive topics that I havenāt known how to respond. As you mentioned, the duplication makes it hard to keep up.
Thank you dear for your Kind explanation. There are many new people and we donāt got memorizado the guidelines and there are to many new people because the community is growing. Itās normal and it will see everywhere.
Thanks dear!
Itās normal and this process, we are expanding the brand and our community is growing so fast! We have to read faster!
