✨ Week 3 #Merry-Makes Recap | Celebrating Holiday Creativity Together

Week 3 of our #Merry-Makes Christmas Challenge has officially wrapped up, and this week truly stood out for its variety and creativity :sparkles:

We saw so many fun and thoughtful projects, along with inspiring experiments using different machines, materials, and techniques. It was amazing to see creators explore new possibilities and creativity in unique ways.

From personalized gifts to festive décor, each project showed a different approach to making, sharing, and celebrating the season. Thank you all for bringing such fresh ideas and energy to Week 3 :christmas_tree:

:gift: Participation & Rewards

This week brought a fantastic wave of creativity! By the end of this week, we received 27 project submissions, and after review, 26 of them met the activity requirements. Since we reached 12 valid entries, the Weekly Grand Prize was unlocked!

Here are the rewards for Week 3:

:gift: Weekly Grand Prizes × 2 Each winner receives a $40 Gift Card

:yellow_heart: Participation Rewards All other valid entries (excluding the prize winners) will receive 100 Cheers as a thank-you for sharing your MerryMakes creations.

Now, let’s take a closer look at this week’s Grand Prize winners who brought festive gratitude to life.

This project stands out for its heartfelt tradition and meaningful storytelling. By drawing inspiration from St. Nicholas Day and customizing stockings for children, the creator beautifully blends cultural heritage with thoughtful handmade design. The use of glitter HTV and clean crafting techniques results in festive pieces that feel both personal and full of holiday warmth.

amber_curtis’s Christmas tree AirPod case stands out for its creative twist. By adapting a festive design onto an everyday accessory, she turned a simple idea into a fun, personalized piece. The result is a charming and unexpected project that brings holiday joy into daily life.

Across all weeks so far, we’ve received a total of 48 valid projects. Since we haven’t yet reached 50 valid entries, the Ultimate Grand Prize (machine prize) is not unlocked at this time.

But no worries at all :yellow_heart: The next challenge is just around the corner, and we can work toward unlocking it together in the upcoming activity!

:yellow_heart: Participation Rewards

All valid entries that meet the craft standard will receive 100 cheers each (up to 2 entries/week). Participation rewards are only for participants who did not receive material prizes.

Congratulations, @Marino and @amber_curtis ! :tada::confetti_ball::partying_face::trophy:

I’m so sad we didn’t unlock the big prize. I’m not a hat maker, nor was I really hoping to win the hat press, but I wanted to unlock it so someone could win. I had a lot of makes I was going to upload, but because I was only allowed to post 3 consecutively, I was unable to share all of them before the deadline. I had every intention of uploading them all, but it was a batch press test I was doing with the H10 and it took all week to complete, up until 3 hours before the deadline—which I actually thought I had until Monday at midnight, not Sunday. Sorry we didn’t get it unlocked, makers. Hopefully, we’ll unlock the next one. I’m still happy to have participated in this fantastic event with all of you awesome makers, and so grateful to have won some buffalo plaid HTV in the second week!

@Mark @Samantha_Bryant Thank you dears
Yes Samantha I agree the last event also didn’t open
The grand prize and it would be really nice if we could considering the huge amount of members the community has but unfortunately the ones who participate can be counted on my fingers

You’re most welcome. And, yeah, I’ve noticed it seems to be only a select few who participate in all the events. It’s just so heartbreaking that we were only 2 makes away from unlocking it. :disappointed: I hope we can get more members to participate in future events.

@Marino how exciting! I cannot wait for you to start enjoying the H17! It’s honestly my favorite machine currently to explore and experiment with and I cannot get enough of it! I plan to use my prize in buying many more blanks just for the h17!! You’re going to absolutely love it and cannot wait to see every beautiful piece you make and share!

I had made my first paper 3d box and just noticing it did not tag in the merry make for week 2:sob::sob: and bummed because it would have got us one more project away!
But we got this next one ladies and gentlemen! Let’s push to unlock it!!

Oh, no! Along with the one that I tried to post after 3 consecutively, but had to wait until Monday morning to post, we would’ve definitely unlocked it. :disappointed:

Ohhhhh and our friends @Mark also had a small issue that delayed his last submission as well and we would have unlocked it!!!
But it was still so much fun and motivation to make sure to load even more on the next challenge!
We got this !!

Ahhh, I think that may have been because you didn’t edit the post over here in the Inspiration topic to add the tag in the post.

For future reference, when we have these type of events, you upload it to the IS, come over to the community, find your post under the Inspiration section, click the edit, add the tag in the tags box. Then, copy the link to your post, go to the event thread, add the required theme, story, and photo(s), then add the link of your post there. I looked at your cutter topic, but didn’t see the tag where it was supposed to be. You just tagged it in the body of the post.

Depending on the event Instructions, you may have to copy the project link from the IS app, but in some events, you can copy the link from the post where you added the tag.

Let’s make sure your projects get counted next time.
