🌸 Friday Fun | If You Were a Flower or Plant… What Would You Be?

Flowers and trees — quiet wonders of the world. :cherry_blossom::deciduous_tree:

They don’t speak, but they express so much — through color, shape, and presence.

Here’s a fun thought to spark your imagination: If you were a flower or plant, what would you be — and why?

A wildflower blooming freely? A cactus with quiet strength? A willow tree swaying gently by the river? ……

And while we’re in a botanical mood…

:art: Have you ever crafted something inspired by flowers or nature? Think about anything you’ve made — or dreamed of making — with floral vibes:

No need for real photos — feel free to share an idea, a memory, or just what comes to mind!

Let’s let nature inspire our imaginations this week.

I love flowers and colours and almost most of my creations include flowers weather they are hand crafted paper flowers or artificial flowers, but today I want to share this special shadow box that I made to my German language teacher for her birthday and she was literally speechless she couldn’t believe her eyes and the fact that I crafted these flowers with my hands made her cry :face_holding_back_tears:
She said that this is theost beautiful and precious gift she received from a student :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
I was so proud of my self and felt that I accomplished my reason that made me craft from the beginning which is to make people know and remember me

This is absolutely stunning, Marino! :cherry_blossom::sparkles:
The shadow box is not only beautifully crafted, but the love and meaning behind it make it truly unforgettable. It’s so touching to hear how much it moved your teacher. :yellow_heart:
You should be incredibly proud, your work and your story are deeply inspiring. Thank you for sharing this special moment with us🄰

Made totes with flowers and their name on it for my friends last Mothers Day. Though I would love to make paper flowers on frame but I don’t have the time nor the patience to make it

This is stunning, I love the colour combination and how you used the flowers as a border. So pretty, I’m sure your teacher will hold on to this forever.

I don’t have a green thumb by any means, but I was given a Orchid plant as a fair well gift from a job I was leaving. It had yellow flowers which I learnt meant happiness, joy and strength. Orchids are my favorite flower each color has a different meaning. White ones are purity, innocence and elegance, Purple ones are royalty, admiration and respect. Pink ones are femininity, grace and love. Red ones are passion, desire and romance. They are so delicate and fragile. Everyone I knew after I bought the orchids home, they said well they aren’t going to last long. But I was determined, I did research and they lasted there full life span. Something else I learned, orchids have a life span. These flowers also held cultural significance in the Ancient world. In China they symbolized beauty and refinement, and in Greece they were associated with fertility. Now I keep at least one of these plants in my home, they are so pretty to look at and make me happy  I still can’t keep anything else alive though hahahaha

Flower vibes, yes  I would love to decorate my room with flower wall art with my own design or painting… I was inspired by the flower origami shared in this community too… How I wish I created that too on mother’s day last time
But I would also love to put it in a vase for living room decor, handcrafted flowers sounds nice and its long lasting…

I’ve been working on some floral patterns lately that I’ve used in my recent crafts. I love flower doodling!

But if I had to choose one, I’d be a tree. I’ve been working with bonsai for a couple of decades now, and while I might like to be a Deshojo Japanese maple, I’d most likely be a strong Mediterranean olive tree.
