šŸ›ļø Friday Fun | What Would a future Crafting Museum Look Like?

This is a great idea! I’d like my creation to be featured in a craft museum. I agree with the personal ā€œMasterpiece wallā€ on display. Also there are crafts that are displayed inside a glass, so it is well reserved and protected. Digital galleries that are floating are cool too! Maybe there could be a touch screen where people can swipe or click categories in the field of arts and crafts.
Every creation should also have description, story, the inspiration behind that work, and how it was done.

~when I was a kid, I disliked going to museums for our school field trips… It was boring for me… but as I grew older I appreciate them more. there is something about the past/ old stuff that speaks to me. maybe coz im just getting old too?

knowing how the world operated with minimal items to use years ago is fascinating. with all the new technology now, its nice to take a step back and think of what was.

I love the idea @BellethehowtoGuru. Nice cards, the one of the dog is my favourite.

I usually have a bulletin board or a couple of display strings where I hang a copy of my last illustrations, now also for test cuts of my last and favourite crafts, mixed maybe with a movie or concert ticket or a tag that came in a product and I liked enough to keep it. We put a bit of us in things, display them it’s like keep living them.

Yeah, we do put a bit of us in everything we make. I’m in the process of rearranging and sorting out my craft room and would love to have a peg board or cork board somewhere I can display crafts I have made. Sometimes that’s all the inspiration you need. Just looking at something you created and think, wow I made that.

I love the doggy one too

It’s funny how our interests change, even our taste buds change over time. I have always been fascinated by history, so much so I became a history teacher for High school students. On the other hand, I love technology as well which is the other subject I taught. My uni professors always said I’m torn between two worlds. I majored in I.T and Ancient History.

@rinsky I really love your idea of a future craft museum. The Masterpiece Wall and preserving each creation with its full story is so inspiring, it honors not just the craft, but the emotions behind it. :yellow_heart:

These cards are amazing  A wall full of handmade cards over the years sounds like an interesting craft museum idea!

I totally feel the same! I’m also someone who loves both history and technology. I’ve always been fascinated by museums, they show how people lived in the past and how those experiences shaped the world we live in today. It’s amazing to explore different cultures, their mysteries, and how they make us reflect and think deeply.

At the same time, I’m equally excited about technology — it opens up endless possibilities for the future. It’s inspiring to see how the past and future can come together in such meaningful ways. :sparkles:
