Insight Hub #15 | Is a Home UV Printer on Your Wishlist?

Hey HTVRONT & LOKLiK Fam!

Today, we’re back with Insight Hub Vol.15, diving into one of the most talked-about ideas lately, the UV Printer!

Recently, we noticed some of you in the community mentioning how cool it would be to have a UV printer. That got us thinking… what if this idea could really come to life?

:jigsaw: What We’re Exploring

We’ve prepared a survey to understand your experience and ideas:

  • What type of UV printer have you used, and what do you mainly use it for?
  • What types of objects have you printed on so far? (e.g., phone cases, tumblers, acrylic boards, etc.)
  • What features would you like to see in future UV printers?

Your feedback will help us explore whether to bring UV printing into our crafting ecosystem. :bulb:

I don’t have a UV printer, but if I did, I would use it to print professional business cards for myself and the biz card clients I’ve had for the last year. It would make the process so much better and easier. I would also use it to print my artwork on mugs, canvases, wood, and metal. I think a UV printer would be a great addition to any crafter’s arsenal.

I would love a uv printer. I make phone cases and watch bands, coasters, and ornaments already so a uv printer would open up so many more amazing possibilities. With the right jigs and ink the possibilities are endless. You can print on golf balls, tumblers, watch bands, pens, phone cases, coasters, ornaments.

I have ordered uvdtf prints in the past actually just order some the other day I did the surgery before going to sleep from the fb post I saw. I have used them on glass tumblers but I got some to use on regular tumblers too since I don’t do epoxy tumblers.

YALLLLLLL. I’m screaming in excitement. Oh oh oh! I’ve messaged @Jodie about a possible uv dtf printer in the works! I’m hoping this means they’re in the process of making one or even better already made and about to come out with one!!! I’ve been going back and forth with should I go ahead and get one since last year. Hopefully we’ll know something soon? That’ll make me hold off on getting one right now.:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin: I make cups so this would definitely be good for me. I buy my prints now so I would love to make my own prints (more of I’d love another machine). My husband may not feel the same. He said my last machine was the last of them. lol. I think not.

Bought one from Eufymake but hasn’t received my printer yet! I’ve used UV DTF stickers as one of the products we offer, for now i’m outsourcing my uv dtf stickers i used for glass cans and other hard surfaces from Jiffy. If HTVront will have their own UV printer, i would love to venture on another one especially if they will have a Soft UV ink that can be used as like silicon patches for caps & apparels too.

I don’t have one but I would use it to print my transfers for mugs, pens, glass cans and just basic stickers. I want one that prints directly onto mugs, tumblers and other hard surfaces. I’m saving up to get a uv printer

This is exciting. I like the one from Eufymake but they are quite expensive

1. UV printer & main use:
I use a compact UV printer for creative personalization, it’s perfect for small custom projects and detailed designs on different materials.

2. Objects printed:
Plastic and glass tumblers, crystal and ceramic mugs, acrylic keychains, bookmarks, phone cases, and more. I love experimenting with textures and finishes.

3. Future features:
Easier setup, compact size, faster printing, better color adhesion, and eco-friendly inks.

Feedback:
UV printing would be amazing in the crafting ecosystem! It’s the perfect mix of creativity and innovation for makers and DIY lovers and we want it in ours favorites brands! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::sparkles::heart_hands::butterfly::cherry_blossom:

Which UV DTF printer do you have?

Filled out the survey. I’ve used some industrial UV DTF printers and got to see a demo of the procoloured UVDTF printer. Was a really cool machine to see in action. Like how DTF is a step up from HTV. Where you can print out the design you want to have instead of relying on the colour’s of HTV and weeding it out. UVDTF let’s you print out an adhesive picture and place it on any hard surface. Instead of using vinyl and weeding and layering to get the look you want. Both DTF and UVDTF are huge money and time savers to help small business owners get back to what they do best, which is create.

Survey completed  I don’t own a UV Printer but I have used UV prints for personalized gifts and it was an amazing experience. I loved how they designs were easy to apply since there is no weeding! It helped avoid having to layer each color layer by layer. And the designs have done very well and not fallen off even after almost 2 years. This is a dream machine to have in my craft room.
