🧡 Stick With Me: Let’s Talk Glues That Do It All!

Hey Crafty Fam!

Let’s get sticky—in the best way! Whether you’re team liquid glue, glue stick, or adhesive spray, we all have that one go-to that never lets us down. So… which one’s your ride-or-die?

I’ve been testing out a few across different projects, and here’s what I’ve learned:

:wood: For my wood crafts during #wordcraftjoy (shoutout to Love Is All You Need Photo Frame and the heartwarming CRAFTING is my RESET button! I used Elmer’s wood glue with clamps to keep everything snug. My LOKLiK iEngrave Cover Machine helped bring those pieces to life, and the glue held strong through it all!

:pencil2: For the Back-to-School Pencil Holders, I went with classic Elmer’s craft glue—and surprise! It’s still holding those layers together like a champ. Who knew?

Here’s a peek at the glues I’ve used so far. Now I’m curious—what’s your favorite adhesive for wood, cardstock, plastic, gems, fabric, glass, leather, and beyond?

So, let’s open the craft drawer and spill the sticky truth:

• Which glue gives you the strongest bond for wood, cardstock, or fabric?
• Do you have a go-to for glitter, gems, or glass?
• Any surprising wins (or fails) you’ve had with certain brands or types?

From Elmer’s classics to industrial-strength sprays, every crafter has their glue story—and I want to hear yours! Drop your favorites, your fails, and your “never-let-me-down” picks below. Let’s build a sticky little guide together :yellow_heart:

I mentioned this in one of my post the other day.

I love using DualTite adhesive sheets on my wood laser cut projects. I mentioned to @BellethehowtoGuru, that I should consider doing a quick tutorial on its usage. I dont know if you can get it where you are but it is some amazing stuff! It adheres to the back of the wood before you laser cut. You make your cuts. Then peel the backing and stick your layers together. It’s some strong stuff and works great!

That’s great! I actually have a different brand on hand, and I’ll be using it for some upcoming wood projects. I really like the idea of using a whole sheet double-sided adhesive underneath—it can be super helpful—but depending on the design, I sometimes skip it. It ends up wasting too much material, and the adhesive I’m using is pricey enough that it feels a bit excessive for hobby crafting.

This is the one I am using for tiny wood parts that needed some adhesive.

I have an adhesive container I joke I have glue problems… I love e600 glue for anot of things but I have everything from spray glue to tacky glue I mean that brown bottle is iconic! But theirs so many choices it really depends on the mood I am in but I will say a paint tray and a make up sponge is a nice way apply glue sometimes.

@Marino, Thank you so much! :orange_heart: I’m glad you enjoyed the post—there really are so many glue options out there, and it’s fun to see how each one fits different crafting moods and materials. Appreciate you taking the time to read and share the love!

@DianeB, that means so much—thank you! :sparkling_heart: I always try to share what I’ve learned along the way, so it truly makes my day to hear it’s helpful. I’m grateful to be part of a community that values learning and lifting each other up!

@Judi_B, Haha, glue problems are the best kind of problems! E6000 is such a go-to—it holds like a champ. And yes, that iconic brown bottle of tacky glue? A classic! I love that you’ve got the whole lineup, from spray to sponge. The paint tray + makeup sponge trick is genius for smooth, mess-free application. Mood-based adhesive choices? Totally valid in the crafting world!

UHU  is my go to glue company.
They have one for EVERY occasion (liquid , glue stick or spray) no matter if it’s craft and school glue, paper, EVA-foam, wood , leather, porcelain, super glue and so on. Use them since I was a child, I know it’s available here in Europe and some parts of the World.
(This is not an advertisement, just my opinion and experience :innocent:)
