Hi @quinie_espayos! I love that you’re experimenting with sublimation—it’s such a fun process to explore. There are lots of tips out there to help you succeed, and I’ll share some of mine here.
Sublimation works best when you use light-colored fabrics with at least 70% polyester content. Dark-colored fabrics aren’t ideal for direct sublimation because sublimation ink is transparent (unlike pigment ink). In those cases, you’ll need a substrate—like sublimation HTV. First, press the HTV onto your dark fabric, then press your design on top of it.
This method also works for light-colored fabrics that are 100% cotton. You can use sublimation spray coating to prep the cotton and allow for direct sublimation.
