Weekly Update 49 | When Creativity Meets a Pair of Old Shoes

Hello Community!

Last week was packed with creative sparks in the community—so many fun new ideas that we almost ran out of room picking highlights, lol!

:christmas_tree: Fun & Festive Projects

@Donna_Burbey’s Christmas Countdown Elf is a fun and creative take on the holiday season, bringing a playful twist to counting down the days till Christmas. Hope it’s a big hit at the craft fair haha.

@Marisol_Villanueva helped her son create a T-shirt project using Mirror HTV in gold and silver—it turned out beautifully, and doing a project together with your kid is always special.

@MCVDFC shared this stunningly elegant Wedding Mirror that would fit right in at a chic reception. Such a lovely piece.

@timmytation brought us another clever idea—revamping an old pair of shoes with HTV and a mini press. Now they’re cute and upcycled. Love the creative reuse.

:speech_balloon: What’s Everyone Talking About?

@Patrice_Newson is gathering funny crafting phrases and jokes, maybe one of them will end up on your next T-shirt!

:tada: Ongoing Community Events

Some of the lovely works above came from @Jodie’s ongoing event. She just shared the Week 2 Recap | #WordCraftJOY — When Words Meet Magic — check it out to see if your project made it in or if you snagged a prize!

Also, the A200 Auto Tumbler Heat Press Reviewer Call is now closed. Selected reviewers will be announced this week — stay tuned!

Hope this week’s projects brought a little extra joy or sparked a fun idea of your own. If you’ve got something in progress (or even just in your head), we’d love to see it in the community too.

Excellent. Glass is a great medium to work on, so smooth and easy to apply almost anything to. The main problem with a mirror is getting a good photo to show it off (& size and weight if it’s as big as the one I did!)

It’s quite fun and resourceful plus you’re saving mother earth :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
It’s just a bit tricky to get the pattern

Phoebe provided the mirror herself, as this was her ‘borrowed’ item, and also provided the easel.
I would give the customer the choice if they haven’t been specific on the size. I think it mainly depends on how and where it will be displayed. If it’s going to stand on a table it would need to be much smaller.
Make sure you wear gloves!!! :gloves:
