Theme: Finding Joy in the Little Things (and the Little Tools)
IdeaStudio link: See What I've Been Creating...
Story: This project started because I kept seeing customized box cutters pop up in the crafting community… and my brain immediately said, “You know what this needs? A sewing pun.”
I made myself a “BOXED CUTTER” (a play on boxed corners in sewing) and the moment I applied that vinyl, chaos took over. Before I knew it, I was making a whole lineup of them like some kind of off-season Santa’s workshop… except instead of toys, I was mass-producing tiny pun-filled utility knives.
Is it holiday themed?
No. Not even a little.
Does it absolutely capture the spirit of the season by making small, joyful things for others just because it’s fun?
YES.
So here’s my festive contribution:
a tiny tool that opens happy mail, starts handmade gifts, and spreads pun-based cheer.
It may not jingle, sparkle, or involve a single snowflake…
but it definitely expresses the kind of joy and silliness that gets me through the holidays and hopefully brings a smile to someone else too.
Merry makes week 3 project 1
I have a love a gingerbread that goes back to when I was a cook so I wanted to make one of the idea studio does Ed into a ornament for the laser engraver I made it a bit of a puzzle to use less wood when cutting it was fun to do.
Merry makes week 3 project 2
Gingerbread man tag with a candy cane. I used two gingerbread men deigns and combined parts to make it a bit diffrent. I am not sure why they don’t show under images used but the one had a piping bag other the candy cane and I combined parts.
