This is the first of three projects to decorate my Christmas tree this year. It is a very very simple project of origami stars made with three different papers, two low weight glitter cardstocks, one light coral and one carmine, and another one made with fairly thick vellum paper decorated with polka dots cut from the coral glitter cardstock, since the rest of the second decoration is red and I wanted to include something white. The colour palette feels complete this way.
There is not much to explain in this project. I used one of the stars that I uploaded to the Idea Studio library as a Christmas and Winter asset. It is simply a matter of assembling the star pieces, cutting them and adapting the layout to the paper size in different scales, also adding a small round hole on one of the tips, although this can also be done with a hole punch. Then fold along the fold lines included in the asset and add a lovely thin shiny red Christmas cord. I made quite a few of them, because I want to decorate another tree with them, and because they are just so pretty.
And that is it, on to the next decoration element…
