Weekly Update 62 | Conversations Around Tools, Tips, and Everyday Making

Hi Community!

This week brought a lot of conversations around product and software use. Many of you probably noticed our new moderators jumping into discussions and helping move things along. They’re currently stepping into the role and getting familiar with the flow of the community, and we’ll share a proper introduction a little later on. It’s been great to see those back and forth exchanges happening, and everyone’s welcome to keep the discussions going.

:art: What Everyone’s Been Making

@MaterialGirl shared a cozy Coffee and Book Cushion and how it was made. And yes, this is exactly the kind of cushion I’d want to hug while drinking coffee and reading over the weekend.

@Mark got an early start on Valentine’s Day with a Valentine’s Day pillow. The colorful design feels warm and cheerful, and it’s easy to imagine it brightening up a room.

@Samantha_Bryant shared a detailed project, Doll Bear Glitter HTV Canvas Project. She’s been experimenting with many different materials using the H10, and if you have the same machine, this is a great one to check out for inspiration.

:speech_balloon: What People Are Talking About

Two members from the A300 review program, @Shawna_Weaver and @Samantha_Broner, shared their unboxing and first impressions as well as a first hat press project. There’s a lot of hands on experience packed into these posts.

There were also two interesting discussion threads built around the same question: if you’re about to get a machine, what’s the one thing you wish you knew first?
One came from @Katrina_Moore about cutting machines, and another from @dentons543 about the HTVRONT Auto Heat Press 2. Both sparked practical and honest replies.

@Lizzie_Golob1 also raised a useful topic on DTF maintenance while on vacation. Hopefully we’ll see even more real world experience shared around this machine.

:star2: What the Community Team Has Been Busy With

@Jodie kicked off a new challenge with Join the Home Decor Weekly Challenge. A 100 gift card is waiting to be unlocked.

@Elena shared an update on the 100,000 Fund Project, with milestone two reached and a new winner announced.

IdeaStudio also received an update last week. You can check the details here:
IdeaStudio App Update Log Issue 4 Version 3.0.0

If you’re not sure what changed or how to update, @InkiteeWorkshop shared a very helpful video tutorial:
How to Update IdeaStudio to v3.0.0 on PC

That’s the roundup for this week.
From hands on reviews to everyday questions and shared fixes, it’s been one of those weeks where learning and making go hand in hand.

See you around the community.
